Microsoft has launched a branded online store with e-commerce major Snapdeal, which will include the "full range" of US-based company's products, including phones, tablets, PCs and software. To be noted however is that Microsoft is not selling its Xbox One or Xbox 360 consoles on the store. Amazon India will still exclusively retail the Xbox One in the country.
"We are pleased to be partnering with Microsoft in opening their online store on Snapdeal. This unique, self-contained store built by Snapdeal will allow users accessibility of Microsoft's unified portfolio of phones, tablets, PCs and software," Snapdeal Senior Vice President, Electronics and Home Tony Navin said in a statement.
The Microsoft store on Snapdeal, found at microsoft.snapdeal.com, has been customised to offer an integrated Windows customer experience, the statement added.
The store enables Microsoft to manage product selection, promotions and launches as per need and basis the analytics shared by Snapdeal, it added.
"Increasingly consumers are going online to shop for a number of things, including mobiles, devices, software and accessories. We therefore see tremendous opportunity in delivering Microsoft products and services through our online store to these customers. Our latest store on Snapdeal will help us reach more such customers and offer excellent choice, value and service that customers expect from Microsoft stores," Microsoft India Group OEM Director Sharlin Thayil said.

Microsoft had in December partnered with Amazon India to launch a company-brand store to its range of hardware and software products online. The Microsoft Brand Store on Amazon offers product categories from "Windows, Windows Phone, Laptops & Tablets, Office, Accessories to Xbox". Till that date, the company was selling these devices through its dealers network channel, except software like Windows, Office, Visual Studio and more, which were sold online.
